Centaurs Appoint Director of Rugby

Burlington Centaurs Rugby Football Club is pleased to announce and welcome Mark Winokur to our club. Mark will be taking on the duties of Director of Coaching in addition to his current role as team manager of the Ontario Blues. Mark’s resume reflects a very successful coaching history internationally, regionally as well as a long and successful period at the Irish Canadian Rugby Club having led them to win many trophy’s.

“I have known Mark for a long time now and I am confident he will be a great asset to all our club coaches. Mark’s experience will be a welcome addition to the team of coaches and players and will serve us well in advancing our game at all levels.” Barry Goldberg – Club President.

Mark will primarily assist the senior men’s coaches, Paul Hahn and Scott Hendry and provide input to the senior women’s coach yet to be named for 2010, and Junior level coaching team.

When pressed, Mark commented, “Although my role with the Ontario Blues is a great challenge and honor, I am very much looking forward to working with the Burlington club, which is local to me and has some great assets; I am flattered that they asked me to help out and will do my best to help them reach their potential.” Burlington Centaurs are a member of the Niagara Rugby Union with fields and clubhouse located in Sherwood Forest Park, Burlington. We have an active Mini division with co-ed boys and girls 6 to 12 years. Junior Boy’s divisions under 14, 16 and 18, Girls under 17 and 19. 3 Senior Men’s teams with the premier team currently in the Ontario Jones Division and a Senior Women’s team in the Niagara “A” division.
